Flower city Lisse is located in the center of our beautiful bulb region. But it is also close to Schiphol Airport and only eight kilometers from the coast. It is a maximum of half an hour's drive to Amsterdam, The Hague, Leiden and Haarlem. In short: Lisse is a great place for a holiday or business stay!
Versatile Lisse
The city of Lisse has 22,335 inhabitants. Boutique Suites is located in the center, so you walk directly into the pleasant shopping streets. World famous is the Keukenhof flower exhibition, which attracts many tourists in the spring. But there is also plenty to do in the cultural field in Lisse. Discover the bollenstreek
From Boutique Suites you can venture out into the bulb region and enjoy an incredible diversity of colors, scents and flowers. This can be done on foot, by bicycle, scooter or on horseback. Request a nice walking tour at the reception. You can also rent bicycles here. There are organized cycling tours, but you can of course also explore the many castles and estates on your own. A visit to Annemieke's picking garden in Hillegom is highly recommended. Here you can put together a flower bouquet yourself.
Shopping
Lisse has more than 130 shops. In the largest shopping street, the Kanaalstraat, you will find many well-known shops such as HEMA, Bart Smit, America Today and Xenos. But Lisse also has special clothing stores such as the Hugo Boss store, shoe stores and jewelers.
The opening hours are: Monday from 1 pm–6 pm, Tuesday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm. Thursday evening it is late night shopping until 9 pm. The shops close at 5 pm on Saturday.
There are shopping Sundays in Lisse on special days and public holidays, nothing else.
Markets in Lisse
Every Monday a weekly market is held in Lisse from 11 am to 4 pm on the Meer en Houtplein. Here you can buy a variety of fresh products, such as vegetables, bread, pastries, cheese and fish. And of course also things like clothing, fabrics, books and snacks.
Food and Drink
If you decide not to stay in our cozy lobby, you can visit the more than 40 cozy pubs, restaurants, bars and terraces in Lisse for a drink or a delicious dinner.
Keukenhof
The world-famous flower exhibition De Keukenhof is a ten-minute walk from hotel De Duif. Every year in spring, thousands of beautiful flowers bloom at the same time for two months. Fairytale! During that period, Keukenhof attracted 800,000 visitors from all over the world.

Museum De Zwarte Tulp
In museum De Zwarte Tulp you will learn everything about the history of the bulb region and the flower bulb culture. For example, about the flower bulb frenzy of 1620-1637 when investors increased the demand for rare tulip bulbs to such an extent that they became worth their weight in gold. Huys Dever
Huys Dever is the only remaining fortified house in this region. Dever was probably built shortly after 1375 by Reinier Dever or d'Ever, a member of a very old family of Dutch nobles. It can be visited from Wednesday to Sunday from 2 pm to 5 pm.
This medieval location is very suitable for small-scale business meetings, receptions or staff meetings. The unique 14th century atmosphere gives a special touch to the whole.Klik hier voor meer informatie.
De Heemtuin
In 1990 a group of volunteers took the initiative to manage an area in the vicinity of the Zemelpoldermolen as a botanical garden. Major overdue maintenance has been carried out and a new design has been made. The botanical garden was officially opened in 1994. It has grown into a place to experience nature for everyone and is located a fifteen minute walk at the end of the Don Boscostraat.
